With Wu Zhu Yu, for epigastric and abdominal pain, acid regurgitation, ulcers, vomiting and epigastric upset due to Liver Fire or Stomach Heat.
With Huang Qin, drains pathogenic Heat from the Upper and Middle Jiaos.
With Huang Qin and Da Huang, for hematemesis and rectal bleeding due to Blood Heat.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 7.5g Drains Fire, detoxifies, cools the Blood and stops bleeding.
Rx. et Rz. Rhei Da Huang 7.5g Drains Heat, purges accumulations, invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, drains Heat from the Blood, clears Heat and reduces Fire toxicity.
With Huang Lian, for a feeling of fullness and distention due to Heat accumulation.
With Huang Lian and Huang Qin, for hematemesis or epistaxis due to Blood Heat.
With Dang Gui, for Blood Stasis.
Rz. Chuanxiong Chuan Xiong 7.5g Invigorates the Blood, promotes the movement of Qi, expels Wind and and alleviates pain.
With Dang Gui, harmonizes, nourishes and invigorates the Blood, disperses Blood Stasis and treats Wind-Damp Invasion blocking the Blood vessels causing pain, numbness, and paralysis.
Alumen Ming Fan 7.5g Relieves toxicity, purges Fire and dries Dampness topically.
